My Top 10 Favorite Places to Dine in Golden, Colorado

One of my favorite things about living and working in Golden is that it’s not just a beautiful place to call home…it’s a true community filled with local flavor. Between showings and closings, you’ll often find me grabbing coffee on Washington Avenue, sneaking away for date night on the creek, or meeting clients for lunch with a mountain view.

Here are my top 10 favorite restaurants in Golden, Colorado…each one a local gem worth savoring.

1. Woodys Wood-Fired Pizza

A Golden staple! The crust is legendary, and the buffet makes it easy for families or big groups (stay late for the dessert buffet-only pros know ;) The beer-cheese soup on the buffet is to die for. Locals know to go early…Woody’s is always buzzing after a day on the trails.

2. NoSu Ramen

Golden’s ramen game just leveled up. NoSu brings a fresh, modern twist to traditional Japanese comfort food with rich broths, perfectly cooked noodles, and cozy, minimalist vibes (they always have an epic playlist). It’s the kind of spot you crave on a chilly Colorado evening…or after a long day of showings. Try the Paloma on the happy hour menu-my fave!

3. Abeja’s

A local favorite for date nights and special occasions. The farm-to-table menu changes often, but every dish feels thoughtful and elevated—especially when paired with one of their craft cocktails. Brunch is the best!

4. Indulge Bistro and Wine Bar

When I need a cozy spot for client dinners or a glass of wine after a long day, Indulge is my go-to. The service is always top-notch, and their patio is perfect in summer. GREAT happy hour, and the wine list is unmatched.

 5. The Golden Mill

An absolute must-visit, The Golden Mill is more than a food hall—it’s a community hub. With mountain views from the rooftop patio, rotating food vendors, and self-pour beer and wine taps, it’s where I meet clients, friends, or out-of-town buyers to show off Golden’s energy. Grab yourself a “pour it yourself” card and have at it.

6. Barrels & Bottles Brewery

Golden is known for its beer scene, and Barrels & Bottles brings it to life. I love that they also serve wine on tap and have some of the best dough nips (pinwheels of cheese, sauce, and pepperoni to dunk in your choice of dipping sauce). Live music almost every night!

7. Sherpa House

A truly unique Golden experience. Authentic Himalayan cuisine served in a beautiful, cultural setting—it’s warm, welcoming, and perfect after a long hike up South Table Mountain.

8. Xicamiti La Taqueria Bistro

Tucked just off the main strip, Xicamiti is one of Golden’s best-kept secrets. The flavors are vibrant, the presentation is beautiful, and every taco feels handcrafted with care. Their elote and fresh margaritas are reason enough to keep coming back.

9. The Eddy Taproom & Hotel

Modern, vibrant, and perfect for brunch or dinner. Their elevated comfort food and local taps make this a favorite for both Golden locals and visiting clients. Yard games like chess and giant Jenga are fun, and the view is unparalleled.

10. Miners Saloon

This cozy, historic bar captures Golden’s old-west charm with a modern twist. Think elevated bar bites, great whiskey, and a laid-back vibe. Ideal for a casual Friday night wind-down.

Why I Love Dining Local:

Supporting local restaurants is part of what makes living in Golden feel special. Each spot reflects the character of the town—friendly faces, locally sourced ingredients, and a sense of place that can’t be replicated anywhere else.

Whether you’re new to Golden or considering a move here, I’d love to share more about the neighborhoods (and eateries!) that make this town so unique.
